Andrew Brons and two of his team had their first meeting in Harrogate yesterday to start planning for the next five years of representing the people of the Yorkshire & North East Lincolnshire Euro-Constituency.
Chris Beverley, Andrew's Constituency Office Manager and Martin Wingfield, his website editor, discussed the strategy for setting-up offices and staffing them and for establishing a network of case workers across the region.
On hand throughout the morning via an email link was a civil servant at the European Parliament to advise on procedures and requirements.
Offices were discussed with locations in the north, centre and south of the constituency, with the one in the centre being the main office.
Case worker training and incentives for those involved was noted as a priority as these representatives within community would be the future candidates for local council elections.
Friday 17th July is the day that Andrew takes his seat and the day that his office can actually start to function, so the next two weeks will be spent trying to get everything into place by then.
